Just rang pentraeth vw to find a new engine and they said they can't get any parts for it Sad

what other things could I try? I dint wanna get rid of it but I have no idea what to do with it.

pentraeth generally deal in new parts....

new is not what you need, you need a used engine - £60 tops, then you need a clutch a few gaskets and some time - job done

Problem with the mk1 is just the regulator, matter of bolting it on, 2 min job. Had the same prob on many a mk1. Or just a matter of cleaning the filter on the existing one. If you get an angine and need a hand, im sure a couple of us will giv u a hand ramming it in.

i just sent the an e-mail. the engine code aint the same but i have asked for some pics and the mileage.
i didnt know trying to find a 1.3 engine would be so god dam hard :/
