haha the question everyone asks, its a 5 speed, the three 6 speeds I tried were dodgy lol 51 plate registered in Sept 2001 so just missed on the newer box really, Im more than happy with it though doesnt bother me. Got it because it only had 34k on it more than anything Was in a hell of a state though, 4 bald tyres, cracked screen, laquer peel off one corner from a smart repair and dent in the roof and bonnet. All sorted now though after costing me a fortune! lol

Only things at the mo are its stinking, has a wing mirror gaffa taped on from some kids booting it off on halloween, need a new temp sensor and spoiler brake light

the sensor is 26 quid from vw its really easy to do as well i got a spare light i gotta do mine as well lol
mines a 51 plate so its a 5 speeder for the roads i drive i prefer it to be a 5 speed.

Went down VW today and its put the stamp on why theyre called the main stealers! haha £85 plus vat just for just the mirror base plate and metal support! The actual mirror is un-damaged. Got a mate from the local car club Im with getting prices for all the parts on Monday for me now because he gets good discount, said sensors £15 but may plug it in VAGcom in the week to see if its definately that.

The lights a b*tch apparently with the whole unit isnt it. Someone my bf knows tried changing theirs and the spoiler snapped. Got told in VW today Ive either got to just buy the part and modify my spoiler so it fits which is very prone to snapping or buy a new spoiler with it! Apparently the spoiler/fitting changed from the 02 plates on so thats the problem. Think I'll be getting the part and palm it off on a garage so its their fault if it snaps They can pay for the new spoiler and spraying then!

the light really easy to do i would do mine again but the wires coroded so iam rewiring the loop soon and iam not on clubloop much tbf the temp senor is a easy one is ur temp gauge going up and down randomly all the time if so thats it

Theyre terrible on Club Lupo for arguing over gearboxes haha, always someone going on.

Sounds like the sensor then. It used to go up and down a bit then spending more and more time on 0 now its there all the time maybe once a month sits on normal temp! lol Esp now with it being winter Id like to know if theres something wrong Some people saying thermostat, others saying sensor but I'll go for a sensor now then thanks!

got for the sensor as its alot cheaper first plus they go all the time so its good practiice to do so make sure u get the seal with it as well never use the old one !!! lol

Ooh ok will do, i'd better not do it i'll find someone who does and smile nicely haha.

Cant wait to get it all sorted for the shows now but got to get through the winter first, rough coilys and lanes twice a day is killing me! Fingers crossed It'll be off the road for next winter and from then on, after a TDI Passat for next winter as a run around, feel like Im ruining the Loop, but will clean it up in spring then hopefully wont see a winter again lol.

mines guna be out of play for a year first time i havnt showed a car this is going to be but will be werth it when its finished is really easy to do tbf
