how low can you go

i been think it my sump is to low i got bout 3ins to go till i hit the floor hmm, and it got me thinking whos got the lowerest car on here???

not me guarantee lol standard suspension but its nt tht bad fron splitter is only 4 inches off the floor :


so thts 100mm ish nd im going to lower it 60 me thinks, leaving 40mm for bumps

Sticky did his sump plug on a cats eye and Marc shredded his sump on a cats eye coming down the hill from Beran garage

i would have liked to put the jetta on here as low as i could only just put my toe under the splitter.The mk1 used to rub a lil but ive raised her a lil too. have scraped my sump everywhere tho

i gt a dent on my sump from getting air :p but it broke my splitter

you mean you failed to aply adaquet torque whilst replacing your origional wheels for nasty wolfrace things that resulted in your wheel wobling and wrecking your spigot wring you lying bum! come off my arse!

2 mechanics have sed tht the vibrations caused by the buckle cracked nd fukd the spigot ring, the n tht went causing mor vibratons to shake loose the bolts


and u kno im tighten bolts to an extent tht they nearly snap

road camber and cats eyes are just a bitch. I would love to go lower, but i literally bottom out daily as it is. Reckon i'd be changing sumps weekly if it wasnt for the sump guard!
This is how the guard sits, got roughly 5mm between the guard and the sump.

I've seen sparks from his car on the flatest of roads.. it was insane!

Im not that low

It does smash on EVERYTHING and its my 2nd sump on there, which is also leaking due to a quite brutal hit.

Ill get some more photos up soon.

no, your right, but strictly speaking im an engineering technician

asume your right about the vibration, if your wheel was on properly the vibration would be transfered straight to the hub as spiggot rings are only there to help acurate location baisicly the litle plastic shit isnt wat actually holds your wheel on

and im guessing nthe two "mechanics" were kiwi and gronwy

dont mean to b funny but if the bolts were tight you wouldnt need one, but you`d have to set the wheel up using a DTI (pointlessly time consuming) baisicly the spigot ring doesent do anything and can be removed when the whel`s tight.... how come no one`s seen this snaped bolt?

how come no ones seen the other 4 bolts, hence why the wheel came off u numpty,

thts y niky had to get me from traws, take me home then bak, cus i needed the wheel bolts lol

so the wheel came off and rooled away from the car then !

by the way who were the two mechanics??

kiwi was one, my ncle the other and ther also was the brummi mechanic from traws

the wheel cam off but got wedged in the arch

haha yeah mate, put a hole in my sump cos i went centre over a cat's eye goood times man. still saying that the old green golf was lower going to alltyes 2 years ago. I'd say now either Phil's mk1 or matty's mk1 is the lowest on here.
