Drying Carpet Empty
PostSubject: Drying Carpet   Drying Carpet EmptySun Jan 03 2010, 14:44

Well due to my untidyness, I managed to put the scuttle panel back the other day after cleaning etc. and I put it back incorrectly. Well - it was catching on the housing for the fan / heater system... so rain (that night) was dripping into my heater system all night, and seeping through the heater resistor housing, onto my passenger mats / carpet :/... It was water logged in the morning... Loser springs to mind.

Weather's pretty shite for drying now, what do I do? Because condensation is an issue with it being wet :/...

Old Towels I've used in the past - They get a lot of the water up.

You'll need to lift the carpet up - If you've got sound deadening that will need to be dried out too.

i had the same thing with the passat two months ago, i had to rip the front and rear passenger seats out, carpet and the sound deadning. I was literaly wringing it out lol.

I just cut the carpet which i need out with a blade where i could best hide it lol £350 cars FTW!
