i had the same quote but off motaquote.
for my second year with one bump.

went to swintons and they got me a quote for £1700 with provident

got it down to £1600

try hic insurance, im with them an got a really good deal especially as all my mods are delcared

but you didn`t try brentacre did you!!! rumour has it you only bought the policy because some tart had a nice voice..

i only went hic because brentacre was closed when i needed insuring

isnt it also the case that hic dont touch under 21s?

i went to hic as most company's wudnt touch me with all the mods on the car an if they wud they wanted a grand lol

what are u trying to insure reccey boy? and is that fully comp or third party? I was paying £1600 for my corsa sport before passing ma test and £2200 on my 205 after passing my test! IMO that insuranc u got is cheap compared to what i've been paying....Or it could just by they saw me coming..lol

go on 1 of them compare the market type websites,thats wat their 4.elephant has been the cheapest 4 me.

try Classical car insurance since its a mk1 ffs

flux is like the halfords of the insurance world, overpriced, poor service and useless products.

try admiral reece when i was gunna buy the mk3 they quoted me£300 third party fire and theft. when i had to cancel they didnt charge me either

not just me, lads from the GTE modified nova days all had similar, also read some horrors about flux canceling policies because of non recipt of NCB etc with no communication..

my mk2 went something like:-
brentacre @340 quid - agreed value
Hic @380 quid - cover of parts removed from car, track cover, euro cover, scope for modification of engine
flux @ 895 quid - non agreed value, and aparently they were doing a good deal - nothing special on policy

flux used to pride themselves on advertising for young and convictions

got it down to £1500 now yeah its tpft, hopefuly i will be seeing one today cant wate

What I liked about Brentacre is they know what you're talking about. I.E "Any mods?" "Yeh, smoothed bumpers" "Ok, what else?". Job done.

You ring other insurers and you're trying to explain to the for about 10 mins what you mean by smoothed bumpers, only for them to have to refer it and come back with a ridiculous price which gets you thinking "I'm sure I said smoothed bumpers there and not that I've added a turbo".
