1 Day Insurance...

Hi everyone. I'm 19, so less about me, more about the plan.

Either tomorrow, or Tuesday, me nd my dad are heading down to Pembrokeshire for a couple of days. My mum and the others went down on friday, but due to dad having a bad back at the moment, we weren't able to go down as a whole family on friday, + I had work on the weekend. Now that the weekend's coming to an end, dad's back has improved considerably, yet again - he is a little anxious that he might experience some discomfort if he sits down for 4 hours in the car tomorrow...

Now - the plan is, I'd like to put my name onto my Dad's 1.9TDi Sharan for the day tomorrow, I'm 19 1/2, been driving for a year and a half, with a year's no claims. Some of these temp covers insure 24year olds +.... hmm ... any sites available? It's kinda urgent... so let me know!

And Yes - I have an Ibiza, but that's low (ish lol), and uncomfortable, so we're not going down in that, (not that it'd make it anyway) lol

By the way - we have not yet tried my dad's insurance. we might phone them up tomorrow if I dont get much of a response from this tonight.

what sort of AA cover does he have, some of the higher policies will provide onward travel and transport the vehicle home if the driver is unable to drive through ill health

hmm... I think it's the Roadside Relay, Home-Start Complimentary stay mobile. That's what it says on his card lol.

I would prefer to just drive it down. say the last hour of the journey if it start to become a little uncomfortable... Don't really want him suffering down there like... wasted journey for him.

Your best bet to try his and your own insurance companys, most of these one days will only cover you if your over 21.
