Got pulled

Almost wet myself.

driving home from the mrs at about 930ish i was tailed through town by a copper so i stuck to the speed limits knowing damn well that all my lights were working and there was bugger all wrong with the car, just turning at the junction that leads to where i live his lights come on. FFS.

I stop and wait with driving licence already in hand, he comes along the side of the car,

Copper: Is there something wrong with our car
Me : Not to the best of my knowledge
Copper: Can you get out of the car & have you had anything to drink tonight.
Me: nope
Copper: then you wouldnt mind if i breath test you
Me: On what grounds
(this throws him off)
Copper: You aroused suspicion by driving too slow
Me: Your not serious
Copper: Its no laughing matter, i have been following you and when you realised i was behind you back there, you dropped to 20MPH and have done that speed for the last mile.
(Ahh, the penny drops)
Me: you have actually been following me for over 8miles, having pulled out behind me at the roundabout at Kidwelly.
Copper: So what?
Me: Well your not a town cop are you?
Copper: whats that got to do with it?
Me: If you were a town cop you would realise that the entire town centre and all adjoining roads are now 20MPH.
Copper: thats bollocks
Me: Turn around then
(2 huge 20MPH Zone starts here road signs about 10 yards behind his car)
Copper: well ive written the ticket out
Me: ok, then i would like your name, numbers and police station
Copper: for what?
Me: you'll find out.
(I write them down, he hands me a ticket with my make spelt wrong, model wrong and my name spelt wrong)

I go straight down the cop shop and report his arse, 2 mins later im now speaking to the head of the station, 10 mins after that he comes storming through the doors to be met by the officer in charge, I here every word of the bollocking, they come out from the office, and he sort of apologises to me, and to really rub the salt into the wound i ask for the apology to be sent to me in writing, he goes to say something as is told to get back on patrol, officer on charge apologises officially and revokes the ticket, his parting words were "asking for it in writing was evil, but I like the shade of violet he went, good night.

need to watch my back for a few weeks just incase he decides to take a liking to me. I have to drive that road every time i go to see my GF, will be asking the Sargent at Burry Port if he knows the guy when i see him in archery practise 2moz.

Around here you need to be clued up if you drive a modified car, i have a few pages from the MOT testers manual to back me up.
