Need More POWER!

Ffs... I don't get it at times.

I can take the Saxo and Pug boy racers on, no probs.. even the fiesta and focus, etc.. boys can be thrown in there.

But then there are times that just piss me right off..

On the way back from work today, some slow ass didn't let me hit one of the roundabouts first.. he goes round and floors it... I more or less expected this, and also floored it.. but I was just about keeping up, let alone leaving him in me dust.

So what car was this beast that was able to thwart my advances!? little shitty hatch with a CDTI engine.. argh! Diesel! NO!

I can forgive them beating me up a hill.. I weight 1.6tonnes fgs.. but on a flat road?

The only thing I could think of, was that I was behind him, and he ruined my 2nd to 3rd rev's, etc.. ie: I would have kept the car in higher revs and gone around the roundabout faster... thus, keeping the Turbo happier.

Urgh.. I still feel I need more damned power though

(Yeah, granted.. the A6 isn't a damned supercar.. but c'mon! hehe)

i agree mate yr car is only 147bhp thats not a lot for the size of the car!!

agreed would be a beast as well you should get a filter that would help a bit

u say u can take the pug and saxo on the pug 106 gti is 1 sec faster to 60 than yr a6 and the vtr r the same i think!!

Well the dump valve is helping a lot between gear changes.. plus.. I don't fight fair.. :p I looooooove corners.. so I guess to be technically exact.. I should say I'm beating the drivers of said cars.. not the cars themselves

Yeah, I'm looking at a K&N 57i kit.. there's one for the A6 and when I looked over the full fitting guide, it looks like a good one. (ie: not really sucking in any hot air.. it even uses the OEM heatshield)

and I found a few good remaps.. but that would be saved for last




I phoned matty up the other day.. from junction to Llandudno.. I encounted TWO Mk5 Golf GTI's... one after the other... I stuck to the arse of the first.. a black one... straight up the hill.. then overtook him on the straight after that... and then there was a silver one.. he had quiet a headway... but I caught up to him.. then ran out of road hehe. Fun fun.. but that's heavy vag car vs heavy vag car

You guys not have any "I needed more power" stories?

mk5 golfs aint that quick 7sec to 60!! they should be faster than that with 200bhp!

Yeah, I've known the BMC's since me MG... I'll have to admit I'm a slave to the induction sounds :p

I can always "upgrade" to a BMC after.. they're like.. 200quid, aren't they? K&N is 80... I can get that faster

my mate paid £270 for his bmc to fit a 206 gti 180bhp!

alright mate. you wanna come and see my local REVO guy in Sandycroft. he'll give you an 8 hour free trial on the remap, bet once ya try that it wont be last on your list!! it just expires after the 8hrs and you dont even need to go back to the garage, ever!!!

Well I meant it would be for last, otherwise every time I add an engine related mod.. I'd have to go back :p

ive been searching 4 ways to make my car faster 4 cheap
a mechanic told i can get the head skimmed drop the valve seats and get it gas flowed or polish and port add a decat to that ur looking at bout 25-30 brake and its not expensive if u no the right people to do it
im doin it to my car dis weekend ill let u if it makes much of a diference

Not something I would've considered cheap, lol.

But yeah... keep us posted on that.
