cb radio retro fun

ive bought a cb radio for my mk1 golf to go with the retro theme and i forgot how much fun they are,truckers will tell you where every cop and cameras are and where all the greasy spoons are,bonus.
we all should get one for meets and shows etc,what do you all reckon?

Did think about one for the same reason as you. had a scanner years back for listening into radio chatter, saved my arse a few times as it picked up the police band (before they changed to the Tetra system).

I think it would be a good idea as you can pick up a decent basic system for about £50 from maplin.

go for it,gotta learn all the jargon all over again,we could use our usernames for our handle.

at uni my cb name was Greasy Weasel, reason being is i got pulled in by half the cops in north wales and always got away with it.

hah, we used to have sum on way to royal welsh, roads are a nightmare all windy an shiznit. Used to let each other know of any incoming traffic, so we could overtake on bends an stuff. Wud be fun to have one again lol
