Yeah, thats just crazy. I've never payed more than 500 for insurance. Bearing in mind i had a mk1 gti when i was 18.

Dreading mine, but it wont be near 1800 expecting 1400 - 1600 - Mods declared and with mum and dad on it - with a 10K limit ??

haha i know it's great it might be a bit more than that i dunno but between £1300 and £1400 anyway

I still wish i hadn't had 2 years no claims taken off me though

Built myself up 9 years ncb an lost it due to having a company vehicle. Everyone beware, if you dont renew in three years you loose your bonus. Sick as a parrott !

I had my renewal through from Brentacre a few weeks back and it was £1329. Not too bad I thought, considering my age, the car and the fact I only have 2 years no claims.

Tried looking for alternatives which weren't looking promising. Phoned Adrian Flux and got it down to £1247. It's due tomorrow and as a last ditch effort I got a quote off Greenlight insurance today and to my surprise I got it for £987! Happy days
