| Know how you feel. I got everything refitted on the drivers side wheel on mine, boosted the battery and refilled the engine with clean oil, and she started so let her run to warm up... go for a coffee everything seems fine....then it just stops, Volt gauge is reading 0...
seems that the alternator isnt charging... apparently theres a fault that develops when your alternator/battery warning light stops working and mine stopped working months ago.

| Had that happen on my Golf Mk1 Cabrio.. I didn't know about the changing to 2nd gear thing.. so I drove to my mechanic friend guy (actually lived over the road from me) about.. erm.. 20km's.. in first.. rofl.. oh the amount of beeping I had off people.
But yeah.. not one of the most pleasant things to go.

| LOL, mine's snapped twice, shiznit bag. But apparently, I'm led to believe that you can drive without a clutch? My mate showed me, but I can't do it for shiznit ...certain rev where you can push it to next gear, without any grinding etc. | |
