Washing The Car. Empty
PostSubject: Washing The Car.   Washing The Car. EmptyWed Nov 11 2009, 17:36

I had a little thought earlier... not that I particularly gave a shiznit about it tbh ha Razz but... Does anyone else use warm water to wash their cars? My dad used to do it - and still does, just simply because he didn't like using cold water because it made his hands freezing in the autumn / winter months... so just carried on from there really.

This is such a "WTF" thread - but I was wondering... haha Smile

i always use luke warm water as it can just help cut through the dirt a little bit easier. Too hot and you might take the wax off.

I'm a big fan I'm afraid. Or maybe it's just a sad cry out for "I need to get myself a Hobby"...

I use the jet wash in Valley, wash rinse and a bit of wax. I know I shouldn't use it cos the brush is manky but I'm too lazy to use a bucket and sponge.

I'd even go to the extent in critisising the sponge there my friend. A sponge holds the grit, but yeah - I don't give a shiznit when it goes to those kind of extremes. I must say - I'm finding it hard to motivate myself to wash it now that the weather's ...well - shiznit!?

I use a wookies fist (aka. Dodo Juice - Supernatural Wash Mitt) to clean the car.

Sponges are not good for paint as most of the grit stays on the surface of the sponge. If you use a deep shag mitt then the grit gets "pulled" into the pile and away from the bodywork or that the idea anyway.

I know man, Crying or Very sad I really should use a mitt tbh, polish my car pretty often etc, if I'm using a sponge I'm kinda wasting my time tbh.

What are your views on chamies? I've heard they're quite good, but I'd imagine you'd have the same problem as with a sponge?
