| hi i dont know if anyone`s read my project yet (2l 8v mk1 golf) baisicly its being done up as a track car (much to fat boy`s dissaproval) and the windscreen`s nackerd its all cracked and needs replacing.
i was wondering if anyone`s got a perxpex or a polycarbonate windscreen or has any feedback on them- surely they cant be thar diferent from normal windscreens?
also does anyone know where to source them and how much roughly they are?
all comments welcomed.

| I dont think i have ever seen a non laminated glass front screen, I think there would be safety issues with that! | |

not really, at the end of the day the only reason i can hink of they use glass in everyday cars is for its surface hardness- itl last ages without bieng marked by wipers etc . polycarbonate is more shock resistant and if it was to fracture it wouldnt frost over etc. and who said racing was safe

| FIA will not allow you to use perspex as a ffront screen. Msa has a blue book with all regulations for track....... have a look at it. | |
