| I'm doing up my Golf Mk 3 and could use some advice and help
when i bought it, the car was stock and so far I've only put in a stereo, got a smaller steering wheel from a Golf CL 5 door and put a new Gear know on as the old one was wrecked.
I'm going to respray the whole car matte black but i'm waiting till summer as i don't want to get halfway through and the weather feels like kicking me in the junk and rains.
I'm a new driver but my car kicks out a lot when cornering fast (this i have worked out lol) and i want some ideas what i can do to make the car handle better, preform better and look better without voiding the Insurance as i don't want to start forking out more money each month.
So far I've came up with cleaning up and painting my steelies and putting some GTI suspension on it as its more or less unnoticeable if someone came around to inspect if i crash (touch wood).
So Mighty Welsh VAGERS any ideas???

| Get some Black bilsteins off a diesel....... then eibach springs to suit your car. If you do go and wack springs off vr6 ect ect u will not get any better performance as the springs have been made to the weight of the vr6. Get diesel or even vr6 struts..... and then springs that go with the car.....don't get "universal" springs once that does the hole range of golf mk3....... in my books there ain't such thing and the car will still handle wank. Then if you still see the need to carry on you could go for uprated bushes.... wich you can now get in black which looks oem, then go for a thicker anti roll bar maybe, again get an oem one. | |

| Still not the point, I drive "sensibly" on roads im unsure of i dont just give it the boot where ever i am, Even on the dyserth bends, ive done them must be 50+ times already, and i still dont go over 30 on them! It will come through experience, but getting your back end out shouldnt be number one priority if so your in the wrong car, get a BMW or something Jap | |

And I am getting a Jap car i will be getting one of 4 possible cars next, Mk 4 Golf, Honda Civic EJ, Honda Accord, Honda Del Sol i may have more to choose from when the time comes but at the moment those are my choices

| u can get the back end of a vag out, golf mk2s luve sideways lol if its quattro it can drift in my opinion dangrous driving shud never be encouraged (as spanky said) but u can get ure laughs by stikig to the limit, some places in wales u cant even stik to the liimit, all i can say is if ure gonna drive like idiots stay to ure side of the road, never cut the corner and never ever speed through a built up area, hit a kid and im pretty sure ull wish it was u,,, and my opnion like long stretches now wats the crac of people obsesed with top ends :s u hit the spead then wat u gta slow down, waste of money hard accelerating (i cant say sod all cus i like being pushed back into the seats lol) hmm ive frgten wat i was rambling bout lol Ahh u can go sideways in a vag lol | |
