| you wont get it mate, only way you would possibly at a slight chance is if you had another insurance policy in your name and phone the insurer and say you need cover on another vehicle for 3 days (your golf) whilst that vehicle was being repaired.
this is only with some insurance companies and they are reluctant to do it,
im assuming you dont have another vehicle policy so basically untill you are 21 or have an insurance policy in your name to do the above you will not get temporary cover anywhere in the U.K ...
I have searched high and low and tried numerous ways but im afraid age is one hell of a restriction to your driving capabilities.. iv just turned 20 and am doing my class 1 HGV licence and the biggest thing holding me back with getting jobs is my age.

| the only other thing to do is take insurance out on the vehicle and cancel it within 14 days but you will lose your deposit and a months payment. | |

| Well, if i took it out, then cancel it, ill get my deposit back as its within a month and nera enough everything, due to it not being used as a full month
My mate might tow it behind his saxo... he fancies coming to the show, so hopefully he will....

| you need insurance to tow on a rope, if you tow on a fixed bar the vehicle being towed is covered by the tower aslong as he has a fully comprehensive policy and is over 25, or unless thier policy states they can or cant.. the vehicle being towed also needs tax and MOT.. oh and if they tow it with a straight bar make sure they have the categories on their licence to do so anyone who passed after january 1997 (or 1998 cant member) wont have the category unless a further trailer test is taken as everyone is saying get your dad to insure it.. and to quote what you said about cancelling the policy you should check with an insurance company, i know directline and adrian flux will keep your deposit and a months payment if you cancel, unless the cancelation is for certain reasons for example you buy a new car want to transfer it but they cant cover you so being their fault... then they will refund you. otherwise they know what your up to so keep your deposit, they are fully entitled too aswel, they are also thinking of changing the listed driver rulings as they know that people are insuring cars like this as its cheaper. | |
