on a mk2 the central locking pump is in the boot near the left side rear light. This was the cause of mine going off when i already locked the car - same as a few other peeps i know. Disconnect it and throw it away Smile. Failing that make sure cha windows are closed when locked SmileSmile

Yeah it's been fine since I had it until yesterday when it set itself off out side of work twice and the windows were closed and then it went off outside my house when I had left for it for 2 hours. Then went off three times this morning in half an hour but hasn't gone off since. Surprised I have had to park it right behind me so I can switch it off if the alarm goes off again. It's got a mind of it's own or there is a midget living in the car that keeps setting it off.
