right people! i have a leaky water pump on the golf, its pissing out, havin to throw 2/3l in it every day Sad

how do i adjust/fix/replace it?

i have never done a cambelt before and dnt wana risk fucking it up as its my daily and i use it for work etc

sme problem happend with mine, im guessing its leaking out the actuall shaft wer the pullys on

its the seal thst gone by the bearings, cant be fixeed, u gt to replace the pump, mke sure u get a metal replace ment one as it wil last longer



all u need to do wen chnging the belt is to lock it in position, u get specialised tool or use sumthing prehistoric like a wedge lol ull need to chnge the tensioner aswell just tbs, simple job then to remove a few 8mm nd 10mm bolts and the water pump will just slot off nd themn put new one on,


thers a how to guide on vw vortex i believe lol

you coming to the meet on sunday fella? if you can get a new belt/pump by then il give you a hand if yuou want? thats if its drivable for that sort of distance...

lol, its driveable, its been leaking for months, got substansially worse when the frost was here as it hasnt got antifreeze, so it expanded and fucked it more lol!

may be able to come over on monday tom? ill get a waterpump ayeeee
