decat pipe?

just wondering if anyone on here has a de-cat pipe fitted to their car ?

ino a guy who's putting one on his 1.6 leon and he said he would make me one after he's perfected his if i want so im just wondering if i should have any concerns ie. has anyone had any trouble with one?

it will fail a mot without the cat one so make sure he does one so u can put the cat back on for mot!!

yeh it would be removable and i could put the oem one back on once a year....is that the only thing i have to worry about?

i de-catted my valver and didn't like the noise of it but it could sound good on yrs!

as long as your car doesnt have a post-cat lamba sensor it'll be fine

Yea they are very good, some of my friends have them and they sound spot on. He also made my mate a stainless steel manifold 4-2-1 and it was really gd

thats who im getting my 4 branch off, he re-piped my old mk1 and did a proper good job of it, he doesn't charge stupid prices either.

He made me a full system (single box) and fitted it for about 120. If that helps with what he charges.

sorry mate didnt realise ud asked me about the price,

he offered 250 for:

Manifold
removing/replace silencer with stainless pipe
and fit/removal

which involved removing my inlet manifold, bit of a messy job.
