| well, funny story here realy...i got puklled over on the weekend and the officer didnt seem to like the fact the volf is lowered, as when on full lock the trye is prety close to the arch, reconed it could touch the tyre easily (then proceeded to push the front of the car down to find out and failed to get it to move ) the car is lowered on coilovers no where near fully wound down and rolling on 16x7s so hardly a tight fit, but he then reconed that the coilovers could be illegal so i now have to get the car checked over by vosa well, as there is no laws to how low your car is aslong as the arch doesnt rub on the tyre and chew it apart, id like him to pull me again so i can show him iv fixed my arch gap...iv now lowered it another inch and fitted 17s at full lock can only just fit a bank card laying flat between the tyre and arch...still doesnt rub tho | |

| At the back of the new fast car mag.. It has an advertisement for next months (as usual) but.. One of the little snippets for next months say " FC on patrol. Is your car too low? We look at the new laws.. Untill then I don't kno what it means in detail.. But we fellow sump scrapers could have a problem | |

| ye they on, lowered the back another inch and fitted the 17, tbh its not a sump scraper (as the sump isnt the lowest part ) its low yes, but i cvan still take a full car of passengers and go over speed bumps and still not rub, so i see no problem | |

| its only to be counted as dodgy if the tyre has scrape marks on it.
what did the copper look like?
there is one jumped up twat in the area that classes anything non-stock as illegal/dangerous and is issuing slips like confetti and since the recent accidents involving youngsters in the dyfed-powys area things are just going to get worse.

| They can get you on a roadside MOT if the arch has been fouling the tyre. | |

| was indeed westbury
theres no problem, as the tytre doesnt ever scrape, which means there is no rub marks on the tyre to raise alarm, he just dodnt like how close it looked at full lock
but to be fair even standard a cars tyre can get close to the arch at full lock

| Cant see why you should worry about rubbing.
Either get wheels that fit, get air ride, raise your coilovers or get rid of your ballon tyres.
Only reason why tyres rubs is that people think it's cool to lower the cars as much as possible. Tbh thats not hard anyone can go out buy cheap £150 coilovers and do that.
Perfect sized wheels an tyres with a nice drop SORTED!!!!

| ^^^good advice there.
even with wider tyres i could get full lock and clearance in the back. but the would scrub on crap roads, but putting a slightly different profile made all the difference.
