ps what tires do you run? Toyo R888's on the track car 195x15x50 on compomotive MO's The S2 is now running on Khumo 225/45/17's. 18" rims ruin the handling must admit, the Khumos are bloody good considering they were under £80 a corner.

GG (medium) had softs before and they went off after 3 or 4 laps - forget about them unless your car is sub 450kgs and you're only sprinting. There's a few new track day contender tyres out there but I've only ever had Toyo's and Yoko A048's and A034's. R888's are better imho

will help remove understeer and you'd be surprised how well they wear, you'd also be amazed at the wet weather performance - as long as there's no standing water and you've got them warm, they stick like shit to a blanket.... You can get neutral handling in other ways too: 1) stiffen up the rear (springs and arb) 2) lower front tyre pressures compared to rear 3) a bit more neg camber on front wheels (up to about 1.5 degs) 4) if you have adj platforms, raise the rear, lower the front 5) stiffen rear shocks, soften fronts all these things help move the weight forward which will help neutralise the handling of a fwd car. My S2 used to understeer horribly, all I had to do was get the alignment sorted, fit koni adjustables to the rear and also a whiteline rear arb. Car is now neutral and will drift nicely, beauty of 4wd is, you can put your foot down during a drift and its just drags the car back into line. Of course, the BEST thing to do is get a rwd with 300+bhp/tonne !
