Don't get me wrong but is there something that really sets this mk2 apart from others out there? I take it your looking at swapping with the owner of it with your mk3?
I've always been into mk2s and though the mileage is a bit on the high on this driver, if its been well looked after and theres history to back it up then there should be plenty of life left in the old girl yet
If you really want a mk2 whats stopping you from having a good look at what else is out there be it on pistonheads, ebay, owners club forums etc then possibly selling your mk3 on.
Just think it through, do your homework and importantly dont make hasty rash decisions
