| anyone ever had one? i'm just looking for a little bass...
i know that they won't be as good as a boxed sub but i only want a little bass, and i've read up that they arent that bad, i've got a really think MDF shelf and instead of 6x9's i wanted a sub on there.
any other reccmendations are welcome.
Thanks

| When i took my subs out of the Enclosed boxes to put them into the false floor, i lost a little bass, you wont notice it unless you turn it up really loud, but now all my mirrors dont shake any more that was funny when it did that | |

| for what it's worth you might aswell just get a small 8" sub in a .5cubic ft box. Will give you so much more bass. Or companies like pionner do small under the dash/seat subs that are effective.
As a free air sub are a pain in the arse to get working. They use the whole boot as their box, and you need to seal the board between the sub and the boot REALLY well for any output at all.

| thanks guys.
yeah it was the pioneer sub i've seen, apparently designed to go without a box, as you said redloop they use the boot as the enclosure.
just trying to think of a way of getting a good sound without losing my boot (pram needs to go somewhere) lol
maybe i'll just get an amp onto a good set of 6x9's?
any recomended speakers? | |
