i havent bin called rice in a while lol, ive had the r5 bout 8 months now, bin busy spending my hard earned dollers on it an can only just say its semi reliable lol. i'd say go for the mrk 1 even tho i like corrado's there just not quite retro enuff yet an retro's the way foward lol. im think of gettin the old gt500 out of the outbuilding an sticking a vtr turbo engine in it but i think thats gona be a project for nxt summer lol. the out door raves be goin on round your way soon, u gona be out an about?

Its the relibility issue that puts me off the mk1 idea realy.. The mk2's only let me down once but it was on the M6 25 miles from brum in the middle of the night, i dont rip the AA as much now either lol.

I know where theres a lhasa green gti just waitin to be fixd up too, guy i know told me he's jus bought 2 mk1 gti's for £700!!! Jammy bastard! A Corrado g60 would be realy nice tho an a old 'charged 8v motor has gotta be retro hasnt it?

turboin the ax sounds like a lot of work? would the motor jus drop in or would it need mounts an everythin makin up?

lol yeh i joined the aa not long after buying the r5, not had to use em yet tho, touch wood lol. mk 2's are nice cars to drive an i love drivin ants mk2 vr, but i like the smallness of the mk1 lol. ive bin told the corrado g60 aint much cop compared to the vr6 tho but id just love to have any car thats super chagred lol.

as for turbo in the ax, it shudnt be too much work as cituning do kits an theres a kit where u can run 6psi with out doing any internal work but 6psi is lame lol. all i wana do to start with is get a vtr lump in it get a mot on it an then see how i go from there. its already got a vtr bottom end on it with a gt 1400 head an carb but i cudnt get it runnin properly an wen doin a compression test it was reading over 200psi!! lol so was just gona stick 2 headgaskets on it but i got pissed an bought a 106 xsi instead lol
