| Please Help Specs Interl Core 2 Quad - 2.6GHz Asus P5N-d motherboard Corsair 4GB Ram Corsair Modular PSU Gainward Nvideo 7950GT - 512mb (used to run dual 8800 GTS but sadly broke in old PC) Antec 900 Case WITH about 9 fans (2 front, 1 top, 1 side, 1 back, PSU, GPU, CPU, Motherboard ) may have anotehr in somehwere 250GB seagate Barracuda HDD Samsung writemaster DvD/rw Windows XP Home Logitech 2.1 So with the high spec i shouldnt have the problem im having, basically when listening to music my computer goes shiznit slow, and is starting to get to me, Its fine at somepoint then other the computer freezes, music Judders and does these constantly I cant figure out what it is, Iveran reg Cks, HDD checks, DefraDisk Cleanups, Scan every thing you can think of and still nothing Running least background programmes i can and most memory consuming ones gett shut down Hardrive loading light always stays on too It also used to boot up in like 10seconds but in the past few weeks its gone to at least 20-30 seconds :/ before useable So can anyone help me in this, as soon im just going to end up stripping the PC bare and flogging (which is not what i want) ThanksLuke | |

| Well most of those look unnecessary, myself I would untick all of them as they are not system processes, but that is upto you. Also I see you have AVG installed? Along with Kaspersky and SpyDoc?
2 - 3 Are Nvidia tools, so you could leave them.
1 - 2 Are Asus (Motherboard) tools, again optional I would say. | |

| have got them, do have avg ready for switch come Tuesday and spydoc = Spybot right (i got wrong one sorry) Ok will restart and see what the difference is | |

| I would check what sort of processing the adobe and google programs are using up as well as your antivirus. I use Avira myself and it doesn't slow it down.
Have you tried playing music in winamp? | |
