| Roughly how much would it cost me to replace the rear bearing in a garage??? I don't mind looking at about a ton but after taken the missus Beamer in for new a overhaul of the rear breaks and having a bill of three hundred I'm not sure I want a garage touching my car but it's nice to have receipt to go with the service history. | |

| the golfs set up isnt anything like a bm's, should cost you bout £15 for the bearing in a garage an anythin up to an hrs labour - garages like to stretch small jobs a bit!
even cheaper if you got the part from chris in ces an someone local with a bit of know how to help do it, its an easy job to do with basic tools.
bearing is in the disc if its a gti so if they're in gud nic an pads are ok a garage shudnt try an hit you for more work/expense than needed. | |

| Cheers Dan, I will ask my local garage for a quote and as the MOT is coming up soon I could do with him having a look around the car and making me a list of possible issues. The car has FSH so I would like to keep up with it as the car has fairly high mileage. | |
