anyone know this v8 golf?

I seriously tempted by this v8 golf, built from a TVR griffith chassis & apparently built by a tvr engineer.
Anyone ever heard about it? It must have appeared on the internet at some point in time!?

Looks well put together! That exhaust setup under the bonnet is a work of art, shame about the backboxes though!

The exhaust section under the bonnet is standard TVR.
I do like how far back he's got the engine though.
My concern is come mot time, I think it should really be on a Q plate after a ministry inspection.
The fact that its registered as a 5litre VW golf is a bot dodgy!
After all, its on a tvr chassis!!!

but golfs have monocoques and the vin numbers on the raintray

yeh but if you look the tvr chassis (which is a narrows spaceframe) has been used and the golf's floor pan cut awy to compensate. not what you'd mildly modified!
