| 16v mk2 - im on my 6th mk2 now and wont get anything else unless i find an S2 i want. had3 8v's a 16v and a 20v turbo one. If you want speed then get a 16v but if you like the driving style get an 8v and itll be relatively good on jiuce too, fast enough for what you want and as for reliability imo best car vw ever made | |

| The engine in the black car was dynoed at 152 so is a quick one. I know it is quick as ive been in the car the engine came from, sort it out james and buy it. Think she needs a new ignition module - well known fault on mk1's and mk2's. Then MOt then away. Buy her then buy some nice wheels. | |

| Its not 2.0 its 1.8. The 2.0 corrado engine is in my flatmates car, reason being hes running different cams and carbs so needed extra 200cc. This tho is 1.8 but the dyno graph for this engine is my house now 152hp. 1.8's feel a hell of a lot quicker too due to the cam kicking in at 4k unline the 2.0 where the power is seamless. If you really wanted her to be 2.0 then it wouldnt be hard at all. | |

Cheers for all the info,Im not arsed what size the engine is as long as she's pokey which I imagine she is .I have been told she's got a nice clean body on her and a tidy interior with no rips or scuffs.Got plans for a clean cut finish with original styling,I really want to focus on performance and handling, and I want her engine bay to shine.I really want this car now just need the wonga... | |
