| Hi guys My mate Huw from Bangor and i went to look at a MK2 local that Huw intends on making a RWYB car with, just a bit of SANTA POD fun for next year! Anyhow it's a bit sorry for itself, and would not start. They drove it and parked it up for a year, whats the most likely cause of failure? There is spark from the coil as far as we can see but no spark at the plug end. What should we pay for such a beast? We have an idea of what we are going to offer!!! What are a tidy set of p slots worth? If we suspect the ecu is there any danger of fookin my ecu if we try that on it? THANKS GUYS!    | |

| thats been parked up longer than a year judging by the moss - i wouldn`t pay anything for it to be fair - maybe £60 just to cover the residual price of the scrap metal. | |

| i bet with a good service it would be fine change ht leads nd clean dizy if theres a spark at the coil. judjung by pics my m8s mk2 was in worse condition when he bought his (waitin 4 the kick-off  ) nd after about a week it was in beter condition than most others around our area. the fuel pumps tend to pack in after they`ve been stood for a while , take the pipe of the front and see if its squirting  if its not pretend its fucked and offer him £50 for the lot lol. also my mk1 gti runs like a bag of balls coz theres dirt in the tank , takes bout 4 mins of turning to start.. but when it does it spits flames  lol.... big flames  | |
