Is it worth buying new shocks and springs? Or do i just get the springs? I'm not looking to spend loads, probly 200-250 but then again i don't really know what i'm looking for lol Any help much appreciated, thanks

| venom do some budget kits - i can recomend the venom own brand shocks and springs through expereince £190 - but the also have supersport which are even cheaper £150..
at venom you will get discount if you say you belong to some online clubs - best to find out which as 10% is after all 10%

| Yeh cheapest so far is 375 on Venom by Supersport, but i'll keep looking. Would probly work out better just to spend a little more and get coilovers. | |

| ye, best to get adjustable coilovers, cus u might not be happy with the ride height when u get set springs,, i gt 35 on my mk4 befre it it was simply nt enough,
plus with adjustables wen u take it to a show u can have the weels suspended in the air (figure of speach lol )

| Got a lot to do and learn before i'm anywhere near a show lol http://www.venommotorsport.com/manufacturer_product.php?manufacturer=Supersport&category=suspension&product=Coilovers&make=VW&model=Polo%20Mk%207 Lookin at them, seem pretty good to me. Only other ones that looked appealing were 40 quid dearer but had a 2 year warranty. Not sure if there rustproof or not but i might give um a ring see if i can get any type of discount | |

| they wont be "rust-proof" but will have an eleco plate prob js500 which is nickle...
you can buy stainless ones for mega bucks - id personally just cover any plated steel bodies in waxoyl as soon as you get them...
for £300 budget id be looking at medium to high end shocks and springs as opposed to low end coilovers as you do get what you pay for.....
if your tight as i say above the 55mm kit from venom for the mk2 was ideal and lasted ages.

| Yeh only problem with gettin fixed shocks and springs is i'm not sure how low i want to go so that's why the coilovers seem like a good option atm, i'll have to think about it | |
