Meet + Drive? (pic heavy)

I got an idea for a summer meet.





Every summer a clasic car club get the keys to this road from the powerstation and have "Climb tests" on it then come down to my mums cafe and have tea and biscuits E.T.C . I was wondering if anyone`s interested - il see how they got the keys and if theyr willing to let us open it for a day?

We could have a set 13:00 - 14:00 going up then 14:30-15:30 coming down, so it l be a "one way"

i duno what their policy is with speed though , they might restrict it, but 30`s a verry ambitious speed for about half the road anyway.

Opinions ? and a list who would be up for it ?

probs wont have to loop then but will give it a go in a daily lol

that jetta on ebay didnt sell at £200 with T&T, last minute bid would have got it

i mean it more for a meet and a photo shoot than a rally lol , the roads only about 2- 3 miles , walked it earlier and got loads of pics (like 100!) theres room at the top for about 30 -40 cars i think, spoke to someone from the powerstation earlier theysaid they cant see a problem with it, but still need to arange it with the managers . Its in Blaenau incase you didnt figure it out

hill climbs are a laugh. plus the views up there are spectaular.

could have a bbq at the top. invite a few other clubs. im sure the hill billy races would be up for it as would a few of the HTTuning lot.

I see this road and think, Polo + Me = Deadly, kill the polo haha

ye barbyq sounds like a plan, the only thing is that there wont be enough room at the top (all the corners are at top) im uploading pics , but probs wont be on till later (134 of them - got every bit of the road almost (walking))

Deffo sounds interesting.. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

**JUST A WORD OF ADVICE**

1. speeding will definately be a no-no... cctv will make sure that anyone doing this will get bollocked to no end

Even on a weekend, if theres any work going on, it'll be a 'fuck off'

And mim, if your mum is willing to sort something out with the cafe that'd be pretty cool... I can't see any real problems though...

once the spacers are on the frontwheels of my car ill have full lock back, so ill be able to actually take those bends

what is the speed limit? as tbh you would need a pretty close gear ratio to get any decent speeds on the straights between bends.

might be up for this now i have the GTI, is 30 mph serious? Whats there take on hard acceleration and loud noises?
