| Just got back from Bangor with my mate and his Civic Type-R's engine management light came on the dash, wont let the car accelerate like normal (obviously the management restricting it), checked the dipstick and had oil all the way up the top and a LOUD knocking noise coming from the engine at mid-range revs, horrible problem, can anyone shed any light? Thanks | |

| Thanks for all the responses guys, turns out as he does rag the car the bottom end's gone so a new engine is in order! Shame as the car is mental...but for all you VAG nuts he's swapping it for an Audi TT this month once the engine's in! | |
