Greetings folks, newbie here. Cheers to V3rmin (Nathan) for pointing me in the direction of this site Cool

Here's my ride, a '90 T3 Transporter Twin Slider. It was originally a Devon 'Bus' Conversion, 1.6TD5 (Jx engine). I'm currently in the process of replacing the JX with an AAZ 1.9TD from a Passat. At the moment the engine is being built up, everything but the head and block is brand new.

It's sitting a bit high on the RS4 alloys at the moment, but I've got a 70mm AVO kit to fit once the engine is in. Once that's sorted I need to start preparing the body for paint. As yet I am undecided on a colour, suggestions welcomed!

Cheers,
Dave Very Happy

Cheers mate! I've actually been thinking about getting it painted blue, probably something like electric monza blue (Mk1 Escort Mexico colour), but we shall see!

Here's the T4 Nink is buying, it's a '92 2.4 Diesel, but now on standard rims I'm afraid!

192K on the Van, engine was replaced a while back though. It's recently had about a grand spent on new parts. It's a great base to build on...Nink wants it for his travels! I doubt he'll be going down the modding route though lol

That will be a few dents, wingmirror removal (for the clean look), the ever popular seat stains and the 'oh shiznit ive lost it'.

Thanks mate Very Happy

Can't wait to get it all sorted. Designing the interior at the moment. I've got a full width rock 'n' roll bed for it, some nice new black automotive carpet to finish the floors in- the same stuff they use in the current BMW Mini. Also having a full set of interior panels made for me in black leather. Up front there will be a pair of Porsche 911 seats in black leather on swivel bases...

The annoying thing is, I can't get the inside finished until it's been resprayed. Aaaarrgghh!

Was considering Electric Monza Blue...which is this colour..

Greetings people! 2544510679_fb81d09496

Not sure yet though.

As for the carpet, I got it from a supplier down South. I bought it through ebay, I'll try and find the seller's I.D for you. If I remember rightly, it was about £17.50 for a roll of about 2x3metres.

Why not two tone it? :p

If you're going black interior.. you could do a black lower colour with the blue on the upper half? Panic

I'm not overly keen on two tone T3s, don't think they look right, but thanks for the suggestion Cool

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with electric monza blue, with black bumpers, spoiler and side planks. I've just bought a pair of blenders for the rear lights, and also have a SA Lower grille to fit- so there will be plenty of black anyway Cool

Okey cokey... Razz

Yeah, two tone is something you have to like.. Smile But indeed, that would seem like a fair bit of black.. you forgot the tyres though.. they're black! :p
