| im in desperate need of a vagcom, got a problem with the mk4 an im completely puzzled, started last nite on the way home from menai bridge, car starts fine, idles fine and revs right through to redline at a standstill like it supposed to!! however when you move off an start drivin, it duznt like goin ova 2000 revs (soon as boost sets in!!), it jst splutters an sounds like its misfirin and runs llike a bag of poo with the engine management light flashin, ive checked all breather hoses and there fine, ive replaced them since owning her anyhow, ive replaced the inlet gasket on the manifold, an ive checked the maf sensor but all seems ok, jst dunno wot it could be dunno if its summit to do with the injection system (one of them blocked) or ignition system (mainly the coil packs), any1 have a vagcom an fancies a trip to felinheli??? | |

| there's 2 main suspects, 1) is MAF which you say you've tried (but how do you test? only real world way is to replace!) or 2) its a boost leak. I suggest doing a pressure test, just make up some bungs and use a compressor with the pressure reg set to about 2bar. - daz3883 wrote:
