just found out that my loop needs a new head (£980) an i cant afford it so lops either gonna get parted out or try an find a 2nd hand engine then sellin it, coz i really cant be arsed with them any more haha.

so thinkin this is gonna be me last post unless i start sellin the bits on here lol

Ouch! Def the head mate? Can't they skim it? I'd get somebody else to have a look at it if I was you!

vw said it was low compression on 2 cylinders.

but i can rev the thing standin still an its fine, just when under load above 3k. things not use oil or anythin.

might have the coil check tho as ive had a few probs with that sort stuff

If it is the head get a non gen one (as I'm guessing that price is from VW), garage had one a few weeks for an l200 for sub-300 quid...

the thing will stutter if u use more than half throtle or go over 3k, thought it might be somethin like a coil. wont stutter if i just rev it will no load on tho

thats gutten man , 980 seems really steep though..

get the spanners out, it could just need a gasket and a skim.

of course a dealer is going to tell you it needs thousands of pounds worth of work, they're not in the business for the fun of it you know!

its a 1.0L yer sounds 2 me u got a miss seating vale m8 common on them engines m8 urm normaly u can get away with just reseating the valves or worst case is new valves, but i very much doubt its the head. if u want the work doing i can give u a good price
