Squeaky noise at low revs then go when i accelerate?? any ideas??

Hey everyone thought someone maybe able to shed some light on an issue that i seem to have.

Car - Golf MK2 1.6 Driver
since buying the car there has been a squeaky/or some sort of scrapin sound coming from the front as i find the biting point and move off, i noticed that the engine mount was knackered!! so i've just replaed that and the knocking or thud i use to have has gone, but there's still this squeak and it fades the minute the car accelerates, then when i change gear there's another squeak whilst it bites then it fades away again.....

this all happens at low revs then quietens as the revs rise...

any help would be much appreciated

Sounds like somethimg to do with the clutch, possibly clutch release bearing!
