| Right my mk3 golf has decided to have a flat spot in 2nd gear sometimes, revs by itself and idles at 2500RPM, cleaned the t/b etc and still the same, sometimes grinds going into 2nd or gives me a flat spot, anyone have a idea what it could be? need it done for all types  | |

| ok not gearbox but i went to change the gearbox fluid, was totally empty, filled up and it came out straight through the bellhousing, anyone got a idea what it could be? | |

| Sounds to me like youve put oil into the timing light hole onto the flywheel & not the oil fill hole. There may now oil on your clutch | |

| found out its the headgasket thats cracked so got a hell of a flat spot, getting a recon engine and a new clutch to go on | |
