Been in a Crash :(

Driving along into a nice long tightening but fast bend on the B4312 went into it and in the blind section of it a lorry doing a three point turn into an entrance, I hit the brakes and swerve knowing it was too late, somehow missed the front of the lorry and ended up in the hedge/ditch, car coming behind me wasn't so lucky and went straight into the lorries passenger side.

My cars survived but has damage to the passenger side sill and underside (passengers footwell has been pushed up slightly) + tracking is fubard, the other car is practically unrecognizable, it was a fiat ciquento now its a pile of scrap.

Sitting in the back of the police car all i could think was how did i miss it, police surveyed my skid marks and came to tell me that they had found that my passenger side locked before my drivers pulling me into the ditch, i was still there when they moved the remains of the fiat and they couldn't find any skidmarks, the driver didnt even have a chance to brake.

Ive been sent home from work after the police explained what happened to my manager. still shaking and trying to take in what happened also been told that the other driver is in serious condition and that the lorry driver has been taken in for questioning.

christ - consider yourself lucky your came out ok. cars are replaceable - lives arnt.

thoughts go out to the occupants of the car that hit the lorry!

Bad news about the car mate - but it sounds like your lucky to be able to tell the tale !

Hope you get it sorted on his insurance etc. Unfortunatly with the older cars it only takes a scratch for them to write it off

p.s. I'd buy a Lottery ticket for wednesday if I were you

unlucky mate, but bloody lucky at the same time!
gotta say though, it doesnt take a car crash to make a fiat cinquincento scrap! they were a pile of scrap when they left the factory!!!

Really bad luck there mate, could have been alot worse though.

cars back on the road, had to compress the spring to refit it properly, and did the tracking. but wont be driving it much now until i get the new suspension setup just in case. been told the other bloke is stable as the police have been round to check on my details as someone wrote down that it was a golf and not a polo. lol

Bloody hell.. well lucky that one.. if I were you, I'd buy your car a nice present.. because it did it's job in saving you Even if it was an accidental helping hand, heh.

Yep shes getting a lowering kit. 60mm front back adjustable 40-80mm


My gaurdians doing a great job at the mo, got pulled as id knocked my fogs on, copper asks when should i be using them, i reply 100m/yards, he goes well done your prize is no £30 fine. hahahaha

Should show him your cars user manual... there's no such thing as front FOG lights.. they're called something like spot lights.. can't remember exactly.. but yeah :p So TECHNICALLY you can drive with them on

I had been driving with my grill lamps on at one point due to the car in front of me not knowing what a white line is for, but these are cheap halfords fogs + they have 3000k HID in them.
