| As above^^^^ whats the difference between slammed and lowered? I have an idea in my head about what slammed is but some people claim slamage when I sort of think...... ehhhhh???? Anyone know what I mean? this guy is slammed!!! he cut his bump stops in half and removed the assister springs he stuck washers on the stub axl for extra camber

| *slammage is when you have to slow to a crawl over speed bumps in fear of taking trim or even the sump off, ride and handling are sacrificed to look hip.
*lowering is when you set a car up for optimum handling IMO looks come second to the quality of the wagons cornering.
my limit is simply by looking at the position of the front wishbones - if they are at reflex angle in relation to the lower subframe i know my car will handle like poop. horizontal or obtuse and its game on
some of these slammed cars going around are built form over function

| depends what i'm driving really, if i had a vr mk2 like mr lemon, then i'd have to agree with him. simply because a car with that much grunt, your gonna want it to stick to the road like glue, deffo go for a good set up regardless of hight. On the other hand, in my mk1, its not exactly fast, so to be honest i dont really care how it handles, or how the ride is, just wanna get it as low as i can without serious hassle every time i drive it. Prefer to be low and uncomfertable, than high and sticky....... if ya know what i mean!!! My coilies must go lower this weekend! And for the origional question, guess its personal opinion, lowered, slammed, dont give a toss as long as it has been dropped! | |

Lowered - 35m-60mm Slammed - 80mm+ I agree. The ideal for me is minimal arch gap (arch just above the tyre) and have the front bumper looking low.
