ive got a diesel so i dont need my cat, if i pipe the cat through with stainless piping, will it benefit my car? also, will it increase exhaust sound note? im looking to get a little more sound from my oem exhaust. im going to get a stainless back box soon, but thought on de-cat first? cheers! Ger.

I know that a decat on a derv is the most cost effective thing you can do for extra bhp, my uncles mate has gttdi not sure which one but he decatted as soon as he got it and said it was a good improvement!

Not sure about exhaust note but i'm sure it would change a bit?

Also was watching fifth gear today and they were on about car thieves stealing catalytic converters as they contain precious metals and you can get up to £200 for them at the scrappys!
So deffo worth taking it out lol!
Even better if you can do it yourself coz you can basically get paid for getting more bhp! Score!
Very Happy

I doubt they would keep it if you said you wanted it! i would just make that clear beforehand incase they try havin you!

And yeh i'm pretty sure thats what everyone does, plain ol' stainless steel!
